Hello Everyone!!
So I arrived okay and in one piece. The flight was surprisingly not as a long as I thought it would be. I slept for 3 hours on my flight from Toronto to LA and for 10 on my flight from LA to Sydney. Thank god for gravol. Except for some crazy turbulance that woke me up somewhere over the Pacific Ocean (yes I thought we were going down) it was bearable. After standing in a 40 minute customs line ( sucessfully smuggling in my tea and chocolate bars) I finally got to see Ryan! I am so glad to be here with him. It was well worth the wait.
We are living in the inner west of Sydney in an area called Newtown which is basically like the Queen St W. area of Toronto. Lots of Gays, Lesbians and Punks. It is funny to see tattooed bikers walking down the street with their kids. It is very interesting and I think I am going to like it. It is mostly funky stores and cafes. Oh and lots of bars.
Yesterday we walked around the area a bit and went grocery shopping. In the evening we had a mini 24 marathon and relaxed. I came all the way to Sydney to watch tv. Sounds like me. I havent really had any trouble with the time difference but I woke up 50 million times this morning from rush hour traffic, planes flying overheard and birds that scream like monkeys. Im definately going to have to get used to the sounds of Sydney. I never voluntarily wake up at 9:30 in the morning. The boys went to school this afternoon and I ventured out to scope out the area. I found a dollar store (yeah!) a juice place and a travel agent. This area is so awesome and I'm sure I won't have any trouble keeping myself busy while the boys are at school (as long as I can get used to cars driving on the opposite side of the road I will be okay- crossing the street can be dangerous..lol..) I'm off to make some dinner and have a nice long bath and wait for the boys so we can watch some more 24. I miss you all and Happy Mothers Day Mom!

P.S- I saw my first cochroach! Wasn't as bad and I thought. I think it might have been a baby. I will try to take a picture if I can. On second thought I don't think anybody will want to see that.
