Problem Solved - Internet Crisis Over

Yeah!! I have faster internet now. Cost some money, but we fixed the problem. Having high speed internet is a necessity. Like breathing and eating. Gotta have it. Bet you all don't even remember what Dial up was like. Its so nice to be able to download again. We were getting really desperate. But even now, we have a limit to how much we can download.

The TRIP!! - First Stop Cairns

Our first stop is Cairns. It is near the northern part of the Great Barrier Reef and is an excellent spot for snorkeling. We are here for 3 days and then head north. We are staying at this awesome backpacker place, The Bohemia Resort. We have a queen ensuite room and I have read that it is one of the nicest backpacker hotels.

The map of where we are going. We start in Sydney and head north to Cairns. From ther we go even more north to Daintree National Forest. Last stop is Airlie Beach, which would lay just below Townsville. I have also marked where our first trip was. Surfers Paradise is just below Brisbane.

Best Western - Airlie Beach - Third Stop

The last stop is Airlie Beach. It is a 9 hour drive south of Cairns. On the map it is a little bit below Townsville. We are staying at our nicest place for the last 4 days. We have a 1 bedroom apartment and it has an awsome pool. It is about a 10 min. walk outside of Airlie Beach which should be a little more relaxing. Airlie Beach is a popular backpacker place and many of the places to stay in the town are rowdy and very crappy looking. This is a great spot to visit the Reef and go to some of the 74 Whitsunday Islands. I am looking forward to going here. One of the Whitsunday Islands is Whithaven Island and is one of the top 10 beaches in the world. I've never been on a white sand beach and I am so excited!

Crocodyllus Village - Daintree - Second Stop

This is going to be our second stop, an hour and a half north of Cairns. It is in the lower shelf of the Daintree National Forest, the oldest rainforest in the world. It is a backpacker hostel called Crocodyllus Village. We are going to be staying in an ensuite hut! I am a little nervous about going to the rainforest where there are so many poisionous things. But it looks like it should be fun.
