Exam Time

Hello Hello!

I know, its been a while since I've posted. I would love to say that Ive been busy doing lots of great things- but I haven't. Not much has been going on. I actually haven't posted because my internet is incredibly slow. Its impossible to use it. I don't think I can live like this much longer. I am currently looking for a way to change this. Our internet only gives us 12G's of downloads at 256 k and after that unlimited at 64 k a month. After using up our 256 k (in record time) we were dropped down to 64. I though that it wouldn't be that bad. I was wrong. I am back to dial up here people, and it isn't fun. For a few days we were stealing a great wireless signal- but I think we used up all their usage and now that one is even slower than ours. I am desperately trying to download the season 4 finale of Smallville- and at this rate it is going to take 3 days. Anybody who wants to send me movies or tv shows is welcome to. (please somebody send me something to watch! - email me for the address!) Ugh... Australian communication systems are very poor. Cell phones are ridiculously expensive and house lines are even more expensive. Internet is too, and apparently there is no such thing as high speed- well they call it high speed, but its not.

Enough complaining. On a better note- the weather has gotton much nicer here. No rain since the football game. ( had to rain that day though. ) Ryan is busy studying for and exams and is working hard. While he has been doing that I have been reading obsessively. A few days ago I found the library in the area and got a bunch of new books. I read everything that I brought down here. The only good thing I could find at the library had was Joan Collins books- which at first I thought I would hate, but actually I have found them quite trashy and fun to read when your bored.

We went out the other day to watch some world cup soccer ( see pics below). Some crappy teams were playing so I spent more time playing pokies than watching. Bad idea because I lost $7.00. Most of the good teams are playing at like 2:00 am here and Im not that hardcore of a soccer fan so I probably wont be watching them. A bunch of bars here are open 24 hours for the games though. When Australia won people were honking their horns all night long. They are playing Monday at 2:00 am against Brazil and probably wont stand a chance.

I don't really have any plans for the weekend. Probably just staying at home doing nothing. Reading. My new obsession. We might go for a few drinks tomorrow night, just to get out and do something. I can't wait until Ryan is done. A month off and we will have lots of sight seeing to do in Sydney. I really want to go to the Zoo and the Botanical Gardens. Also on Wednesday it will be 2 weeks until we go away! I hear the beach calling me already. I am trying to stay in as much as possible so I will actually have money to go away. Everything is so expensive here and I have a feeling it won't be long until I am broke. I found an ad in the newspaper for film extras and I have a feeling I might be desperate enough to go do it for a day.

Thats all for today folks. I promise much better posting from now on. Im not going to let this crappy internet discourage me- and Im working on a solution.
