This is the beach in Cairns. The Great Barrier Reef prevents it from accumulating a nice beach or having waves that crash up. It is crazy when you are out on the reef how all around the reef area you can see a breaker of waves crashing up. (you will see what I mean in the boat trip pictures)
The mountains in the back go up the whole East Coast- you will see them in alot of pictures 
You can see part of the Marina in the top left corner

I wouldn't want to swim in there
