Today we woke up bright and early (o.k, early for me) at 10:30. We had tea on our balcony and relaxed a little while deciding what to do for the day. The weather was 25 and sunny so instead of checking out the city we decided to explore some of the beaches north of Cairns. We went on a bus 30 km to a series of beaches. We decided on Trinity Beach because it was the biggest. We hadn't had breakfast yet so we stopped at a cafe on the beach. Ryan had fresh fish caught at the beach. From there we found a spot on the beach to lounge. The weather was a little over cast and the sun kept coming in and out which was really annoying. As soon as you start enjoying the warmth it would go away. We stayed for a few hours and headed back into the city. We went back to the hotel and got changed and ready to head into the city. Our hotel was a 30 min. walk from the city centre but the hotel had a shuttle that went hourly so it wasn't really a problem. We walked around the downtown area and visited the lagoon and the night market. We also went to the Casino there to play some pokies. It is a rather small one but we still had a fun time. We had some Micky D's and headed back to the hotel. We had an early morning bus to Daintree and we wanted to get a good sleep.
